U can feel the difference when Hannah Yeoh as ADUN 2 terms and Michelle Ng now, they will constantly liaise with MBSJ on this matter.

it's the same by-law that applies when you want to renovate your house (be it a small extension of your car porch roof or a big one which involves hacking down the entire building). the rationale for application is:

1) to ensure that the intended renovation/installation is allowable (ie: will not become a hazard); and
2) to ensure that the intended renovation/installation will not become a nuisance to the neighbouring properties.

most of the time, municipal councils turned one eye blind to these incidents but we automatically assumed that "so long no one kacau, means legal lah!". just like the recent viral video posting about the Wira driver who got fined in Johor.

If you live next door to someone who let their garden overgrown into a lalang jungle, how? Seen a few houses like that in my taman, years and years like that condition already. and got people living inside...

The awning is close to the neighbor's house bro..the rainwater enters the neighbor's house..mbsj has asked the owner to repair it but it has been delayed for a year, if you still do not understand and show the thugs, mpsj again the thugs

Btw, the other day, in my Taman whatsapp group got one guy posted a pic of a puppy stuck in the longkang.
People in the group decided to call MBSJ instead of pulling the puppy out themselves.
Mana tahu, in 30 minutes MBSJ really did come and pick up the puppy from longkang.

Very efficient.
