hi bro, want to ask how does this work ya? Say want to transfer RM1K. So TW choose MYR to SGD? Then input my CIMB SG bank account number.

Then from CIMB SGD change to Tiger Broker USD? So means double charges in conversion right (TW -> CIMB SG #1 and CIMB SG > Tiger #2).

It's more like local bank (MYR) -> TW -> CIMB SG (SGD) -> Tiger (SGD)

Then within Tiger app, convert SGD into USD.
Yes, is double, but the conversion within Tiger is minimal

Wise and Tiger combined likely still charge lower than bank telegraphic transfer.

U opening CIMB SG account using the steps fromt he youtube video???

I dont quite understand why can send money SGD1000 to the account when it's not "officially" open yet??

hey there, ya i transferred as per the video suggested. Basically, you will receive an email from CIMB SG with a bank account number that's under your name. So technically, should be no issues cuz you're sending money to your own bank account.

But I've yet to receive any phone call from CIMB SG lah already 3 working days haha. A bit worried because no email and SMS also lol. And I transferred RM10K instead cuz didnt want to do multiple times.

Hi guys, I’ve been using Tiger previously and been on dormant for awhile waiting for stocks to go up. Now that I’ve sold my US stocks, wanna ask u guys what’s the best way to withdraw the USD funds?

Should I convert it via in app to SGD, then transfer to CIMB SG > CIMB MY? Feels like I’ll lose a few dollars via exchange rates. No way to withdraw it directly back to Wise right?

Cashing out cuz now got moomoo already.
