i purchased ax86u, to solve issues  of my wifi went down when 2-4 device do concurrent video concall (wfh+online school) on my ax56u

it was way overbudget, but the best decision i ever made.

ax56u now serves as aimesh member to extend 5Ghz coverage

Im from tmnet stock dlink 850l to ax56u.

your explanation is as good as teda.
but experience wise when buying new router, get the most featured you can buy now if you gonna upgrade.
by the way what is your current issue with your router

Totally agree on this.
Felt like much more stable compare the black cylinder.
Speed test black cylinder go so many jitter on speed.
Can see updown updown on test.
22ms tested on off peaktime

Asus straight line no fucked.
3ms tested after update firmware

Both to same tmnut server

Ts if you want top up rm200 get the better 1.

Ax3000 paired with wifi 6 pcie adapter really good result for my Time 500mbps subscription. Getting around 500-580mbps when doing fast.com speedtest

If you're living in a condo unit <1.2k sq ft, the AX56U will be fine.

If 2 storey house, AX3000 will be the minimum you will need for decent internet connection. To get good connection, +1 mesh node will required.

Ax3000 vs ax56u in term of performance got anything much?
Price also diff

I have ASUS AX11000 as main router and AX56U as mesh node. Gooding.
Then again, I have A LOT of devices that connects to them..

7 xiaomi cctvs, 10 smart plugs, 6 smart light bulbs, 4 Google Nests, 2 Smart IRs, 2 Smart TVs, 2 PCs, 2 Laptops, 1 android box, several Hps...

So... ask yourself... what is your need?

if only for gaming and a few other devices... just get the Asus RT-AX55 AX1800 if you prefer Asus brand... otherwise TP-Link got AX1500 at around RM250+/-...

I'm in a semi-d (3 storey), main router AX86U + AX3000 and AX55 acting as mesh nodes, 1 router per floor, weakest 5 GHz signal will be around -60 db

Chances are you may be a getting only a weak signal in the toilet with 1 x 56U even on 2.4 GHz

Adding 1 cheap router as mesh node will make a big difference

Auto switch with SmartConnect but you have to tweak the signal/bandwith value for nice failover.

Latest stock firmware is having random reboot issue now. Merlin works fine.
