AX3000 support up to 160MHz channel (dunno which device can use)

AX56U support up to 80MHz

AX3000 got more bandwidth on 5ghz which is theoritical up to 2402mbps while AX56U only up to 1201mbps...

depend on your device and how much connected to devices to router...

i using ax3000 and now easily can get 800mbps for my laptop (change to wifi 6 card) and my  iphone12 pro max...
*
What if im just have 300mbps plan???
Is this mhz and all you mentioned will affect it?

Ax3000 paired with wifi 6 pcie adapter really good result for my Time 500mbps subscription. Getting around 500-580mbps when doing fast.com speedtest
*
What is wifi 6 pcie adapter?
Oh you slot it in pc??

QUOTE(ihavenoidea @ Dec 19 2020, 06:30 PM)
if you can affort the ax3000 then buy it, else the ax56u
both are way better than what you currently have.
most router you buy will be better than the n12d
*
Ya i jest checked at all IT
Ax3000 is rm756 wow so exp
But haiz wish can get it cheaper
I think maybe end year sale???

QUOTE(CyberSetan @ Dec 19 2020, 07:03 PM)
I have ASUS AX11000 as main router and AX56U as mesh node. Gooding.
Then again, I have A LOT of devices that connects to them..

7 xiaomi cctvs, 10 smart plugs, 6 smart light bulbs, 4 Google Nests, 2 Smart IRs, 2 Smart TVs, 2 PCs, 2 Laptops, 1 android box, several Hps...

So... ask yourself... what is your need?

if only for gaming and a few other devices... just get the Asus RT-AX55 AX1800 if you prefer Asus brand... otherwise TP-Link got AX1500 at around RM250+/-...

Wow din know router is a serious business ya

There is 2 version i saw in viewnet.
1 is about rm700 and another 1 about rm800.
I have no idea why the one more expensive about rm100 than the another. The info written at the both box look same to me.
*
Wow viewnet so exp ya

But all it more exp

I called them asked

They said got two variants

One is gaming one is not

Gaming got tuf infront
Basic got rt infront

Basic cheaper than gaming somehow
The prices quoted for me from all it are 756 for basic 8xx for gaming

Topup a bit, get TUF-AX3000.

On specs, it’s a clone brother to AX3000 (which is modelled as AX58u).

On the internal, it’s a clone to the hai keras AX82u.

So if you manage to softmod it (TUF-AX3000) one day, you can technically unlock it to AX82u for free.
*
how do you softmod it

QUOTE(laksamana @ Dec 19 2020, 08:26 PM)
If you buy from All IT (esp the KLCC outlet), the AX3000 will be expensive

Order from Viewnet or Oookas during sales, there will be some discounting

The TUF gaming version has the same specs as the basic + a dedicated gaming port + some gaming customizations in the BIOS

I def bought my AX3000 for <700 around 5 months ago
*
that explains why exp cause I called klcc

QUOTE(msacras @ Dec 19 2020, 08:39 PM)
Nope, 82u is just the AX3000 with extra RGB and 4R4T unlocked by default. The real deal is 86u and above.

https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/internet...8u-6394549.html

The TUF-AX3000 in Tongsan has an “AssasinCreed” mode, where it got unlocked to the same 4R4T like 82u does, reaching the theoretical speed of 5400 for free.

QUOTE(laksamana @ Dec 19 2020, 08:47 PM)
Thanks for the info mate

I have an AX86U, it's like night vs day compared to the AX3000 (now used as a mesh node)

Damm, I should have bought the TUF version instead then ....

Although I'm not sure that 160 MHz 4x4 will even be usable if your laptop is >2m away from the router

In my case, I have just disabled the 160 MHz feature altogether
*
does this mean tuf ax3000 is more superior than basic ax3000?
