I have been unemployed since Aug 2020 because of the pandemic. I am feeling very down now esp when all my friends around me are working and seem to be progressing in life. I feel very lonely in this. Job search has been difficult and slow. My family is not here with me, I live alone and feels very empty on the inside. Anyone feels the same?

Go do something productive, like exercise or volunteer in NGO.....keep your mind active and focused...

human mind is like monkey, u need to keep them occupied, keep them tired else they will stray and jump around aimlessly

Why not you return to your family first... When situation is better and start work again. Don't compare yourself with your friends. Each of us have different path of our own

Still have a bit of savings. Should be able to survive for the next 6 months as long as I do not spend too much.

I tried looking for part time job online and most of them look illegal. Can you recommend where/how I can find a part time job?

Hi may I know your age? If I were you, I will enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to do whatever that you feel interested and passionate about. When I was out of job in 2018 for more than 6 months, I tried to keep myself active and stay positive. During that period, I read books and exercise, more than any period in my life. And when job opportunity came in 2019, I just grabbed it and never have such a 'luxury' to enjoy my personal time since then.

TS from Sabah, living in urban or suburban?

Urban - maybe look at jobs/opportunities that can the local community requires then u can ask if those industries require manpower and then work there

Suburban - maybe go jungle and hunt/do farming?? Maybe can shoot video to promote local suburban areas of interest and upload to youtube and try to promote and get some money?? Maybe can create a website/blog to say that u r a local tourist guide that can bring tourists ard to tour tour and earn some money?

Got camera then can shoot photos/videos of something very unusual and might sell it to earn some money also... nvr try nvr know.

It's difficult, but don't feel bad, many people find themselves in this situation. Now there are a lot of jobs online, get the skills you need, it's even available for free. You will succeed!

If you've got a car/motorcycle/bicycle, can consider do part time Grab/Foodpanda to earn some income to supplement your daily expenditure.
