yes their price is quite steep but after sales service like dust cleaning is FOC lifetime...
BUT their Queue is so F up..i rmb last time my PSU kaput, they ask me to wait 2 days (even they got ready stock) then can ready as they got alot of hardware to assemble...

Yes. The staff in the shop is actually not bad. Just whoever handling the social media pages are idiots. Probably the boss lar. Usually the boss is the lansi one and not the workers.

Im not related to Idealtech. But dust cleaning stuffs should be done by owner , it just like cleaning your house aircond filter. Not much difference , maybe you need to remove your casing side panel and blast air into it using a blower. You dont need to dismantle anything if you think you are not confident in doing that. A blower cost you like 100~200 bucks if you buy from Shopee or Lazada which you can offset from their higher prices compare to certain shops in lowyat or maybe e-tech in kepong.

Your psu warranty replacement thing actually good already la . Normally other shops i claim warranty need 1 week plus , worse case close to 3 weeks. Bcoz the replacement unit actually comes from distributor , not from their existing new stock. Most shops will never use their new stock to replace warranty units.

What to do with a non operational rig for the weekend ? Thts the real reason why ppl buy prebuilts like HP, Dell and Lenovo bcoz they have next business day onsite warranty. If you so urgent to use your rig , you shouldnt even consider buying DIY builts in the first place.

Recently I've been looking to build a new PC, so I used the Idealtech PC Builder to get a quote.

Their component prices are high compared to other sellers.

Ryzen 5 5600x *was* 1349 for pre-order a couple of weeks back when I got a quote, then it became 1549. So I decided to look elsewhere. Ordered mine for 1349 from another reputable shop.

The after-sales service isn't that attractive to me as I'm very far away from KL.

They do have a wide range of components to choose from though.

I don't dislike them, just find them quite overpriced.

Idealtech sell alot of high quality or reputable parts, many of which are not available in other shops and most importantly, they cater a specific niche of gamers who seek high quality parts (apart from non rgb cooler arctic and ek as well as arctic fans for those who seek non RGB performance items)

They are also the dealer u look for when you just want a no worry rig. They replaced my parts immediately when RAM broke down 3 years ago (ddr3 mind you, old ram). I never need to wait.
My haswell processor, on its last year of warranty. Replaced within 2 weeks.

I bought my first PC from them in year 2014. Heck I came all the way from Penang just to buy one PC from them, not that they didn't do delivery back then but I wanted to see how they build it. I was satisfied enough. It is still functioning after a few lifetime warranties RMA and a change of GPU 2 years ago.

Make that what you with, no other PC shops will actually have a plethora of QUALITY items of every pc category for me to choose from when it comes to building a rig. For many working professionals, nobody got the time to carefully filter the internet (lazada, shoppee, alibaba, amazon etc) for the best prices of seeked PC components just to go through the trouble of building a rig yourself to cut a few hundred bucks unless you are a real tech enthusiast and you know what you do.

For Motherboards, aorus master, msi tomahawk unify ace, asus crosshair/maximus series or tuf/strix
GPUs ROG strix TUFs Aorus Gaming Eagles MSI suprim and gaming x trios

THEY HAVE IT. C ZONE DONT. VIEWNET DONT.

so you can go on and rumble idealtech expensive.
Idealtech has the quality components certain niche of gamers who dont use cheapo stuffs and lowtech like me want and can afford.
They also provide services that very few can beat if you wanna get worry free. If paying rm 200 to 500 extra per rig is what it takes, for me Id say go for it. All my breakdowns later on are handled for free man. I already experienced it 3x RMA.

Last but not least,
To err is human. Whoever and whatever wrong on internet come on gais forgive la.
U guys forgave myburgerlab admin, sunset oren owner etc. Apa lagi mau, TristanX also come in terms with zhen wei already.
