The problem with tall bikes is maneuvring them between the cars (changing lane) at traffic lights/junctions and tight basement parking spaces. With very limited lean angle due to short legs, the weight of the bike could be felt even it is tilted a bit. Small radius turn with handle full lock in crowded space is almost impossible. Open space no issue.

Making it worse is that these types of bikes are normally top-heavy and would be flat if they fell on the ground due to the slim and tall design. Unlike the GS with its boxer-twin engine, the bike doesn't need an extra lift before pushing it with your legs.

This is based on my experience of riding an adventure-wannabe bike with no mod. I'm 163cm with a 29" inseam.

Boxer engine bikes might be heavier to lift if they fall flat on the ground due to mass of one sided cylinder is not balance when tilted in stationary position. But easier to navigate traffic compare to normal 2/4 inline or v-twin bike since the center of gravity low and balanced out especially those newer Liquid cooled engine.

This based on my own experiences.

Heard some interesting news that due to regulations in Taiwan disallowing the import of fully assembled vehicles from China, the new CFMoto distributor in Taiwan (J-Dream Motors) will be importing 9 CFMoto models from Malaysia, indicating that CFMoto will soon (is currently?) be assembled in Malaysia?

Great news if true, we'd probably be able to enjoy lower price due to tax exemption/subsidies, freely available spare parts, and have new models quicker than usual, seeing as the 250NK/SR are still old versions right now. The soon-to-be launched 450SR is also generating a lot of hype in China right now.

CFMoto in MY already CKD made/assembled by MForce kilang for KTNS.. The owners of both are siblings.

So that's why it sold at affordable rate in Malaysia since its consider CKD.

They're the first group in marketing terms called innovators who would take to new ideas, things, concepts earlier than anyone else. Similar to those who buy the BYD Atto 3 and Ora Good Cat EV cars (actually the real innovators are the rich as the EV car market here is taking a top down acceptance approach) before the skeptics start believing. Next would be the early adopters followed by the early and late majority. Finally there are the laggards. These are the people who want to see that everything is safe first for them to buy. Must see resale value lah, must see spare parts price and availability lah, must see if got sc hear their house who can handle or not lah, must see if neighbour buy or not lah, then must hear if neighbour or friend or uncle and aunty have complained or not first lah etc...

The early adopters are the most suffered.. because becoming walking test subjects..

The Tiger 850 IMHO is an entry-level model done right. Triumph deleted just the right bits to bring the cost down and surprisingly kept almost all of the best parts. Even the horsepower & torque numbers were reduced on paper only to differentiate it, as below 7500RPM where 99% of the riding is done they feel no different than the full-blooded Tiger 900.

I can totally understand why CFmoto priced the 800MT at >RM50k -- the company's partnership with KTM (CFmoto actually manufactures KTM engines in China) and the bike's KTM 790 roots are a solid differentiating factor that they should capitalize on in terms of pricing.

Although I have yet to swing a leg over the 800MT, I suspect the difference in weight alone will highlight Triumph's long-standing expertise in designing ADVs. Reviewers have strangely reported the LC8C's high revving nature which CFmoto responded to by lowering the gear ratio to keep the torque up at lower RPMs, resulting in relatively high fuel consumption at highway speeds. I have no experience with the 800MT to comment, although I can say I seldom had the need to rev past 7000RPM on my 850 and it makes 90% of its max torque from as low as just under 3000RPM.

Sat on it, pushed the bike around in the showroom, IMHO BMW GS1200 easier to park it's upper front heavy (Reminded me of Z800 Kawa), that's why the KTM 790 ADV version using a lower fuel tank design to balance the bike geometry.

The US 2023 iBEX model (can shee the chase on wheels youtube above), changes are

1. No more free panniers and top box but still had those brackets installed.
2. Engine guard and spot light still come standards still.
3. Traction Control added (2022 doesn't have)
4. Extra riding mode (off-road mode = Disable the TCS and ABS)
5. AU derived fueling map. (improvement over the Mainland factory tuning)

My assumption was, the MY stock still 2022 bikes, if came with panniers and no TCS then it still 2022 builds.

I am too aiming on this bike since my experience with CLX700 somewhat satisfying before.
