Wasn't excited to get a PS5 until now, now that Horizon Forbidden West has been released

This is my first time trying for a PS5 since launch day back in late 2020

11:02am already still no stock drop...

So lucky get to be on the roads at 5:45pm?

I may be working from home now, but more often than not work drags to 6pm or 6:30pm back when i was working in office

Yeah so disappointing to learn its just a damn download code... not as if it would be too expensive to include the damn disc.

I'm old school - just prefer physical media.

AFAIK PS5 retains the same disc distribution format as PS4 - just a PKG file in the disc, plus a license key.

At least when Sony shuts down their servers in 20 years' time I can still reinstall and play the game.

I am betraying my old age here by saying I prefer the old ATB turn-based combat system... haven't really enjoyed a Final Fantasy since FF12... good thing the PS4 remaster was damn good

Oh... my bad. I think the God of War: Ragnarok bundle should see this new model anyway.

Chrono Trigger FTW! One of the best JRPGs ever!

Yeah... played the FF7 Remake demo on PS4 and did not like it at all despite the gorgeous graphics. And I did not enjoy the Strangers of Paradise demo at all. Deleted after playing for 10 minutes.

Unfortunately Square-Enix is committed to the new action RPG style, since FF15 and FF7 Remake were so successful.

I will wait a few years for FF16 to mature and see how it goes. I just bought Xbox version of FF15 earlier this year simply cos it didn't feel like something worth spending almost RM200 on.

My first ATB game was Chrono Trigger back when it was new in 1995, before getting to know FF4 and FF6 after that.

I felt FF7 was ok, but my favorite remains FF8.

I guess action RPGs just not for me... which explains why I never enjoyed the Zelda or Mana games

Agreed.. PS2 was the end of Square-Enix's genius.

While FF13 was reasonably acceptable (I would give it 5/10 lol), it was the beginning of the huge downtrend towards them heading down the lines of season passes, DLCs, mobile games, and other such nonsense

If a shop employee does like that to me, I will raise my voice and demand to speak with the manager already... then again, I have high expectations for customer service (I spent around 6 years doing this in an MNC back in the day)...

Sampai a few times I had to call the cops on the staff after they threatened me with violence (not GH... just other shops, even high-end corporate offices)

Anyways back to topic... shops should honor preorder prices especially for customers who have already paid, unless EXPLICITLY stated in T&C that they can change the price.

Typical shit Malaysian business practices la this one.

All the more reason not to support such businesses

Astro's Playroom damn enjoyable, and an easy way to earn a lot of trophies

Worth spending some time to beat, and then can safely uninstall. At only 11GB wouldn't take long to redownload anyway if needed.

Anything with liquid (don't care la how Sony says it is hermetically sealed) will be affected by gravity with time.

Even though it is uglier placed horizontally, it is the only way to go with PS5 unless Sony opts not to use liquid metal cooling anymore.
