I really recommend you to get it if you dont need the extra controller le. looks good visually also. I am not sure about the charging time. I just put it on like an hour ago. Havent test it out yet.

Well the RRP is 29.99 USD. But bear in mind because we are exporting out of US we dont have to pay US sales tax. Shipping was USD 12. So around 42 bucks x 4.06 = RM170. Shipping is overkill by itself but because i capsized on the zero US taxation hence come up to be about the same as MY. MY RM149. So essentially I am paying extra RM21. But considering it is shipping all the way to MY i think ok la.

Sucks that actually buying from Sony stores seems to be of a more hassle than buying from other retailers. Mine has been pushed to next batch despite having paid off the whole thing in Nov. Welcome to purgatory, friend.

PreOrdered from Sony KLCC and didn't get any update from them after giving them the delivery info. Then this morning received call from GDex, it's PS5 delivery. Nicely packed but Sony didn't include the blue bag, alas. Queue number 10x.

There is no problem playing online. I have Fifa 21 purchased and downloaded from US account and can play with my friend Fifa 21 MY account. The only diff is if you use disc and DLC contents have to be downloaded from the respective account.

In my opinion highly recommended to get MY set just for the warranty.
In just 4 months my controller suffered from left analog stick drifting. Thanks to warranty Sony Malaysia replaced it with a new unit. It's just that I can't collect it yet because the office is closed.

Apart from warranty I believe there are no restrictions.

Having said that, the controller is a wear and tear device, it will definitely fail one day and it cost relatively low at rm349 to get a new one. So not a big issue there. Of course my situation is a bit strange as I didn't expect a pre mature failure. Just unlucky there.

The console i think shd be relatively reliable. I doubt it will fail easily. But, 1 year manufacturer warranty plus an additional 1 to 2 years ( sen Heng Citibank plus one card) of extended warranty is quite hard to resist and you only get that from MY set.

However I brought it to Sony Curve as it was much more convenient for me to go here. They will send it to the location in the link above anyway.. So if you can go to that link it would be better otherwise just visit Sony Curve or one of it's official authorized centres.

Claiming warranty has been discussed recently before. You may use the search feature of this forum for the place to  send your console to . You're in luck as I believe electronic stores are allowed to open tomorrow onwards. I sent my controller which was suffering from left analog stick drifting to Sony Centre at The Curve eventhough I didn't purchase from them. No problem as long it's MY official set.

DOBE charger. Around rm40-50. I personally think it’s better than the original charging dock but that’s just me.
