Its a tad costlier than the Xbox Elite 2 - but yeah its a little steep.

Hall effect sensors has no electrical film unlike potentiometers which is used in the current DualSense (and Xbox Series + Switch controllers).

This means that there is much, much lesser chance of analog drifting because there's no film to damage. Of course hall effect sensors aren't invulnerable because the IC can still fail, but chances of that happening in comparison to an electrical film is next to zero.

Sony selling the Edge at that price sounds to me like they're doing it because they know PS fans will bend over anyways and they'll make more money selling you replacement analog modules than give you one that has a much slimmer chance of failure.

I am not a hardcore gamer, only want to play PS5 casually. I want a PS5 near my TV but for sure do not want to pay at scalper price. Its ridiculous markup RM700-1500.

The Dualsense controller is not durable at all. Few months of use already developed stick drift on the my R3 stick. And no, I'm not the kind of gamers that smashing the buttons like there's no tomorrow while gaming.

where does one usually go to add the extra ssd into your ps5? most game shops have those services?

We've had rumours about a PS5 Pro, a PS5 Slim and also a PS5 with a detachable disc drive.

True but at least they didn't get a price hike over there.  Probably because the market is more competitive there and they want to compete with Microsoft.

Hi guys, is extend 2 years warranty a must? If yes, how to buy it from Sony Store?

Have you seen the recent news about liquid metal leakage? It could destroy the console's APU, what if this issues happen one and half year later when you dont have warranty? I dont trust the workers in China will applied liquid metal carefully on every PS5 unit since these are mass produced products in China. So extended warranty worth it or not?    Spent RM210 for another 2 years and save RM2500 seem like not a bad choice right?

The issue is all over the news, ur unit is okay doesnt mean others is lol. Most likely is the seal/foam around the liquid metal area probbalt degraded.

Doesnt seem like widespread issue tho. Or sony bought the media to do damage control. But then, also possible is they disassemble themselves and cause the problem. It shouldnt be opened in the first place
