Elantra 1.8L 2011/2012 priced rm115k.

Elantra 2.0 2017 rm120k, 1.6T RM 136k

Ugly elantra 2.0L 2019 at rm120k but then started slashing price on their own minus rm10k but unofficially minus more like Sonata LF. Self cut price cannot change the official declared price.

Check Sonata 2.5L price how much first then you'll figure out roughly where elantra 2021 park. New Sonata more expensive than Camry CBU from Thailand, do you really think Elantra 2.0L can park itself near Altis price range? More likely higher than Altis.

If really don't care about rv and want wow factor might as well get mazda 3 sport back

That car bound to fail like old 3 year 2007 when it was highly overpriced where you too up a bit can get Camry 2.0E already. Due to poor sales led to less spare parts brought in and get poor RV with many not dare to buy despite cheap 2nd hand. Kena accident left 2-3 months at SC no spare part despite all ketuk-ketuk patching welding done.

The SmartStream G1.6 MPi petrol engine – which is is a four-cylinder engine that features continuously variable valve timing, a multi-port injection and a new thermal management module – delivers 123ps of power at 6,300rpm and a peak torque of 154Nm at 4,500rpm.

Niama only 123PS?

They are ar trying to focus on the fuel efficiency rather than the power.

If 1.6L NA CBU at rm130k, that is more likely for current high tax rate. Cars are getting far more expensive nowadays. Want cheap good quality cars have to rely on Chaina Geely. Hope they have nice B, C, D segment for P1 to rebadge.

The same old gamma engine with poorer torque and output than old Forte 1.6L. Koreans can't build advanced technology on their own without Mitsubishi. Last time korean when had little achievement got sombong kacang lupakan kulit. Now they are stuck with loud less refine engine, relying on high rpm to get just 154Nm? Old forte can do that in 4200 or 4300rpm. Such a disgrace. FC full city traffic 8km/L for new elantra 1.6L? New elantra use cheap CVT now, expect acceleration slower than 11.6s and score less on reliability

what to do, by bringing in a lower cc car they can pay lower taxes and thereby reducing the car price. There's no other way around it. You need to say thank you to the goverment for imposing such high tax on cars.
