My Approach to Investing

5. Keep reading up and get to know what business your are investing in. I will try to do some research but I largely supplement it with analyst reports - Currently subscribed to themotleyfool and 7investing.com

Which services are you subscribed to?

I'm subscribed to Blastoff, Rising Star, Cloud disruptors, 5G and Ownership Portfolio as well as 7investing and other premium services. A few of the stocks are repeats in different services, such as Fastly, MDB in your portfolio, which i interpret as extremely high conviction.

A little overkill as its very expensive but I'm generally very happy with the services. Saves me from all the constant monitoring as I just rely on these services.

If you have other services maybe we could trade information.

when it hit 1 trillion dollar in 2018, they say they are already at their cap, can't go further, but who knows, 2 years later, they hit 2 trillion dollar~~~!!!!!!!

May I know what platform do you use to acquire those US stocks?

Interesting ! I am a 7investing sub too. I started with Motley Fool 4 years ago, no regrets at all, should have signed up earlier!

Also Ark Invest is great source as well, best of all, it's free. I bought their ETF for my wife's portfolio.

Yes, I also look across several analysts services and compare to see if there are overlapping recommendations as an indicator of level of conviction on a particular stock.

I don't think it's an overkill.

I've spent more than RM20,000 on such services in the past years, well worth the $ and I make back far more than that in less than 6 months.

You want good service, you gotta pay for it man!

Would be good to meet up over coffee to compare notes!

Oh - u meant MF service right ?

I'm in Stock Advisor, Rule Breakers, Everlasting Portfolio, AI.

7investing is interesting because most, if not all their analyst were ex-MF people! Great service at the fraction of MF price.

I am still keeping all my MF subs.

Would be happy to compare notes.

Could probably start a private group chat on whatsapp or telegram for those who share the same philosophy. If anyone is interested just leave a note and I'll organise for those interested.

Totally agree on the services. IMO, David Gardner and Ophir from CML are the modern GOAT.

My portfolio is divided into growth and hyper growth. Growth are your usual suspects but some of my hyper growth (0.5% allocation) picks include Celsius, Farfetch, Draftkings. Lately I also added into Nano X as well as Ozon.

Highest conviction is Twilio, Pinterest, Fastly and The Trade Desk and make up about 30% of my portfolio.

I think a Telegram group will be better. Whatsapp has many limitations e.g. number of members.

Do PM me your group link!

I call my Hyper Growth portfolio "Moonshot", a bit risky type of play. It's less than 1% of main portfolio. We have the same usual suspects - like DKNG, XPEV, NNOX, FUBO .... but OZON is really wild.

Let's do the Telegram gang then!
