Hehe, this is dedicated to AMD fans, as there is a similar thread on Intel's upcoming CPU (notice the almost similar topic title... ) One of the more interesting feature of the K10 is the new power management. Quote "New K10 processors will have new power and frequency management system. Each core will now work independently of the other, at its own frequency that may change dynamically depending on the load on each of the cores" A lot of technical info but will clear up a lot of things : http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/amd-k10.html

Can't wait to see how these new CPUs perform. If you read the article, AMD promises two things: 1) Introduction of these CPUs at the end of August or beginning of September this year 2) A significant performance boost compared to previous CPUs, especially in applications with intensive floating-point calculations. This would be very interesting as we know that up to now AMD can't even touch, let alone compete, with Intel's CPU in this aspect.....

QUOTE(8tvt @ Aug 23 2007, 08:52 AM) oh maybe cannot beat intel.. lol curious.. Hope AMD can compete with Intel. As always, competition is healthy, monopoly is no good for end-users..... Example : Vista......
