Decided to buy Hoda sp from sakurazzz using Amex voucher.

I considered Flolab for a bit, but having to pay pricey shipping fees is meh for just one screen protector.

Now to think about case....

Hoda is good. Affordable too. For casing, you prefer which type?

honestly i've been going naked for my phones for a long time, and big reason I go with iphone is for the "premium-ness" of holding it in the hand - but with how hefty and slippery iPhone 12 Pro can feel at times, I've been thinking I want something to change it up.

It's a lame requirement, but my main requirement is for the case to feel still thin ( minimal bulk ) while keeping the premium feel of the phone.

So bulky cases are no go, and I don't like the clear case/TPUs that make the case feel like a rigid plastic.

Off the top of my head, the one I've been most interested in since day one is the official Apple Leather - since it finally covers everything, feels premium, has metal buttons so it's clicky, and overall has slim profile even if not like pitaka slim.

Basically comfort of holding on the hand is most important while not overly wrapping the phone in plastic just solely for protection. Need that balance of premium touch and minimal bulk.

Well bro, i think you have made up your mind. 😆 Apple leather case it is. It is premium. Feeling in your hand is premium too. Question is which color are you going for? 😉

The store i went to doesn't allow me to feel silicone case as it is sealed. But they allow me to try out the leather case. Bought it on the spot. Lols.

It is premium so we speak. To the extent I got robbed for it.

It’s the total cover up.. MagSafe is another. You install the case, you get a cool animation. It’s slim fitting, other apple leather for 7 plus, XS max, the feel of holding it is not there.

Taking it off is not a struggle. Only downside is the price, but for leather, I think it’s worth it.

HODA tempered glass? HODA PET? I don’t really find them any good. So far HODA Sapphire is good.

X-one does a better job for PET. Tempered glass type, rhino shield. I personally didn’t try flolab but others say it’s good.

Well, like I said - I'm used to naked carry, so no particular hurry.

Part of me am hoping we'll see other case makers announce something of equal quality in coming month or two. And more buyer's remorse on Caroussel or something.

If I get the leather case, no California Poppy no talk.

I understand from browsing here casually it's not the best option, but there's not much else that I can spend the amex voucher on before it expires.

Hopefully it's at least decent enough.

Since it’s Amex voucher and u know the pro and con, all good.

This is personal experience. I bought it from switch or machines. The feel etc is good. But it’s so easy to chip off. That was on 6 plus, chamfered edge type. iPhone 12 design might be good? But then, no confidence with HODA TG.

PET offers better protection, friend’s iPhone 5s. Hit a sharp object, penetrate through TG and the glass screen. Don’t remember the brand though. Peel off TG, imagine u see a chip on the screen itself. Painful..

Got 12 pro max 256 gb boss. 1 for wife 1 for me. casing just buy clear case only. Currently transfer data to new phone. Usually how long aaa? Hahaha

Does any one plan to install Hoda lens protector? Wondering will it affect the camera quality.

Not too sure about how long it takes to transfer data. I start my phone like a totally fresh new phone. Didn't move anything from my previous android phone over.

Depending on few factor.
Android to IOS? or IOS to IOS?

If IOS to IOS usually the speed will be Quick Transfer > Itunes > Icloud.

For me I use Icloud backup restore. i just restore it put there sleep then wake up done. but usually 30 mins to hours for icloud
