Totally agree with this, they should have removed the battery health just like the iPads...having the battery health % causes a lot of unnecessary stress...
Hahaha, yeah, the best way to go about it is to just ignore it and enjoy the phone - till it’s time to sell it off then folks will be asking…

The battery health came about because of the sudden shutdown of iPhones. Irony.
Well don’t disagree lower w, is better in a sense. Just use it. RM450 to change battery. Can’t afford iPhone, battery can afford. I raised earlier, just comparing with past iPhones only and whether it is norm for everyone as well.
Yeah, if I remember correctly, Apple was also slowing down older phones with degraded batteries hence there was a huge lawsuit and all that eventually they came up with this idea to show customers their battery health.

Yeah I don’t think the capacity affect daily lives much. I reckon a 20% drop after a year is more or less industrial standard for all batteries. Don’t be so obsessed la. Cannot expect phones to stay 100% new forever right. Might as well put it in a box forever. Even then the battery will also deteriorate.
20% a bit high la, I would say 1% per month or 10% in a year should be ok…

82% is so close to 80%, either you use it rough and exert its battery to 80% or leave it as it is... though I do not recommend doing anything intentional, or might backfire

That’s the thing, in Malaysia we will be subjected to the discretion of the service providers as there is no Apple Store here. I think the best way to make sure they really honour the 80% or lower battery replacement is to contact Apple Support via email first.
