Another PSA: when first restoring, skip Apple Pay / wallet activation until you have completed restore for your messages. I mistakenly requested for activation when first setting up & restoring the phone and couldn’t get the access code which was sent via SMS. Only 24 hours later could I get all codes again

I only enabled backup for photos and videos when I wanted to send it for battery replacement. Usually only backup everything except for photos and videos. The photos and videos took 6 hours for me (first time backup).

Not sure if 88% but mine was 83% if i remember correctly. I start my day unplugged from the charger around 6am, my battery life would drop to 80% around 10:30am and left roughly 40% around 5pm.

Now, my battery life drops to 80% around 12pm and left roughly 60% around 5pm.

Your mileage may vary of course… but mine confirm will survive until iPhone 15 at the very least
