I should have read this thread earlier before sign up… too bad.
I signed up the clubmarriott membership just few days ago because I would travel to kl for few days stay and I saw the benefit come with complimentary stay and also buy 1 free 1.
So I proceed….
1. The price will be increase at end of March from rm798 to rm818. But now it’s only Feb, the sales lady charge me for rm818 but then give me the membership expire date till March 31st 2024. It’s 1 yr + 1 months, but I don’t need the 1 month extra, she didn’t give me the option, and I found out later from maybank promotion

I told the sales lady, she just keep quiet….
2. When paying the membership, it request me to send through WhatsApp my cc number, it is definitely insecure, what I do is, use a credit card that had request change of cc number, so that after the transaction, my cc number will be change.
3. Hotel booking… I chosen ElementKL since no surcharge when I want to use my eVoucher as per communicated. However, due to the customer service mistake, it drag 1 day for the room booking, and cause me got to pay extra because the voucher only entitle the lowest rank room type, and it’s fully booked at that time. I saw the mistake the customer service made in the email and I immediate call, no one answer. And I look for the sales lady to help to reach him, keep pushing, else it would drag even longer

End up, no surcharge but got to pay extra because the basic room fully booked. And be aware that those complimentary voucher only for basic room type.
4. I feed back the extra charges due to the late booking from their customer service, the sales lady told me “ Upgrading of the room is ok, you get a better view too.” but the problem is not what I want, will you buy for sth u don’t want? Haihz…
All these happen within first few days after signed up. I am not too sure what frustrating issue will be coming for next booking.
For those still considering, you got to prepare you can deal with this hassle. No answer call from customer service, claim that they are busy; those customer service hp number got no register WhatsApp, you won’t be able to text them, only through email. What if they not reply your email? That’s it lo
