no idea when i can put a stax over my head.. haha maybe in a few more moons..

well after 30+hrs of burning in, the Ldmk1+ is beginning to sound nicer and nicer every 5-10hrs..

hope im not killing my beyers by letting it play with the amp none stop..

i myself also have a stax. but one side driver has hole already. still  not yet have time to change the membrane.
already bought the mylar membrane, and the conductive coating.

are there any rumors on the next release for new model? or they will just bring & resurrect the dt series like dt 880/990 version o9' maybe?

it sound exactly like upgraded version of IM716, and er4p.
and imho.
it can't replace Any beyer headphone. as beyer lover often love it's bass and it's dynamic. which both of this were lack by the  stax headphone.
listen to rock / metalic / pop with stax really potong stim leh.
the statement were made according to the two stax headphone i ever heard.
SR-X and SR-5 gold.
maybe there's other stax providing good  bass. i am not sure. but i am sure those go for stax is definately not a bass lover.

stax is fast speed. accurate, relaxing (both u and headphone were relax, the headphone seems to punch out the sound so relax..) great positioning. and realistic sound stage.

k i got a little update.. im using this setup now (while waiting for my ultimate setup to arrive..)

nano4g / xfi extremegamer > ldmk1+ > dt880 / dt990pro.. and after 200hrs burn in for the ldmk... i can say that there is no obvious difference btwn

80hr burn in and 200hrs burn in.. so i think.. ldmk1+ limit is around 80hr burn in only hehe

k the sound from the dt880 is > dt990.. hahah for my taste and music.. lol

the dt990pro is.. well hmm dunno how to say ahh.. im glad i have it.. but 880 > 990pro for most of the songs i listen to.. but the 990pro shines in vocals though...

well haha i cant wait for my transportable gears to arrive.. and im planning to get the hd680...

hope this help up a bit on this thread, and for those who wanna modified their beyer to darth beyer by DIY.. lol..

basically i can accept job. however, it's not immediate job and no rushing. as dealing with driver and voice coil is no longer as easy as just solder the cable. any rush job might end up killing the driver easily.
imho if i am to rush to do a job involving driver, most of the time the driver will die in the end.
so i have to be patient to deal with the tiny coil. as well as the owner too.
i fully understand that owner wants their headphone back asap. but i can say that my ability doesn't allow me to do it like a machine and rush like no body business.
