QUOTE(saturn85 @ Sep 2 2009, 09:53 PM) beyerdynamic got these few version, DT770, DT880, DT990.. dt770= bass king of the beyer's family - closed can...couldnt tahan listening for 3 mins i wonder how much different among these 3 super headphone.. dt880= semi closed/open cans- balanced, neutral not so bassy or boomy- very linear and precise -for ppl who love neutrality and more into soundstage dt990= open cans - bass r very deep, mids recessed and highs r too shrilling for me to handle....great for bassheads into metals/rocks/fast paced musics |

hmm just got my beyer modded and recabled back....
now i know wat is the hype with staxs.....their cables r really something.... for bassheads, music classical lovers and studio monitoring......this pcwork's masterpiece will make yur jaws drop.... no more sibliance, simply smoother and ANALOGUE crispy highs and more forwards mids and unbelievable controlled but deep bass like Dt990 it has more accurate range, very precise and INSANELY good layering of bass texture.... 1 words it has transformed to a monster.... QUOTE(saturn85 @ Sep 11 2009, 05:34 AM) is the lambskin leatherpads last long? way better than velour pads....it can last for years if taken carefully sound got improve after change from velour pads to lambskin leatherpads? lambskins pads r used for stax headphones and mainly used for audiotechnica cans... velour pads is comfortable but get very irriating during long wearing hours and get very dirty easily found out the that velour pads sucks all my dynamic bass and no wonder it is very hard to drive ...the original pads r holding the bass back ... with this ahaha the bass whack and slams all the way down while taming the beyer's infamous highs and sibliances |

QUOTE(saturn85 @ Sep 11 2009, 04:14 PM) wao, the velour pads suck the bass sound, that is too bad.. lower the performance.. i prefer the new lambskin pads....my ears can breathe better and doesnt sweat much ....if comfortable vice, which one is more comfortable? is lambskins pads more comfortable? the pads r large enuf to accomodate my ears and doesnt give any discomfort |
