i order something from taobao,

i pay the shipping company and they help me pay the china seller,

so that he can give me a malaysia invoice with his company name,

he charge me 2% service fee.

they charge me shipping per cubic meter with custom tax included.

i sell this item in malaysia.

i would like to know is this legal or is this considered grey area?

It's legit but you have to consider warranty/invoice issue (such as registration to SSM, tax bla bla)

Imagine you buy from A sell to B, if warranty issue arise B will claim from you and you claim from A

Why dont you straight away become Taobao agent? Straight forward
