Folks, guess what, another update from my friend, regarding the "glitch" he experienced with the online PO.

12/11 - My friend received a call saying his order did not go through though payment made, so he being offered either 1) refund or 2) put into waiting list of 2nd batch (guarantee dapat!! though no tentative date when 2nd batch will be coming)

13/11 - Received email from Sony on the same topic, being asked either to pick option 1 or 2. My friend replied with option 2 the same day.

16/11 - Received this reply:

Now, Sony didn't even want to offer to put into 2nd batch, straight doing refund to you regardless. 

1) FYI, the transaction time of payment was made at "12-Nov-2020 12:00:51 AM" @ ipay88.
2) The bold statement was not in the 1st email but appeared in today's email... 

So now we have 12:03 payment that is confirmed.
And a 12:00:5 payment that has been cancelled.

This 'software glitch' seems to be quite random. Almost as if its not first come first serve.

at least they have a choice. gh no choice. you want ps5 from gh? buy bundle with conman special MCO delivery at RM300.

the thing is, gh doesn't offer consumers a choice to purchase ps5 by itself.

that's they why they kena saman by sony malaysia. if they offer people a choice, nobody will complain.

I think people's gripe with them is that they didn't reveal this before PO. A lot people probably thought ok la.. don't need go Sony or other sstores.. "buy from GH cos convenient for me etc" .. Then when they finally slog through their website get faced with that shit. At that point you are practically... "yeah it's like that lor.. now 12pm lor you want buy from us or not? Most places sold out already la.. you think fast ah". At that point from my POV feels like an intentional planned ambush at the customers.
As for the technical error, what doesn't make sense to me is this. People said it was rm 150 for peninsular and rm300 for sabah and sarawak correct? (originally la). If it is an error how did it even happen?  Did the page admin just pull rm 300 out of their ass? Aren't these numbers pre-approved ?

Also notice that they have not posted on their page that this is a technical error (the shipping charges) ask people to arrange for refund on that etc.. seems fishy to me..
p/s: this whole thing really no skin off my back because I never planned to get from them. It was shopee/senq/impulse for me..  but I just find the whole thing weird and I think GH are handling it like lil b*

Yeah some more  that is just the sony page admin.. i doubt they can accurately talk about company handling of this etc..

What people can do is just stop buying from them .. So many game stores with better trained staff and no shady stuff like these.

Yep I was on shopee sony store, then checked other shops nothing, so randomly saw Senq and at the time was out of stock also. It came in-stock after a reload before going to sleep haha.

Anybody know what time did Senq actually open the items for PO was it 12am sharp or sometime after that ?
