fully agree. from my observation, usually all these micro manage boss is due to their own incompetence in not being able to monitor performance based on output as well, similar concept to how old people always say they cant adapt to this and that, its basically them not being able to measure performance other than by monitoring attendance. To me its just about putting in the time and patience to understand something so that you can do it better.

i dont really accept the reason that old people cant learn or adapt as well (i always hear it with my very own 2 parents), in western country old grandpa also can adapt and learn new things, heck i saw got grandpa review movies on youtube, got grandma 80+ become twitch streamer. its all about the mentality of learning and understanding, which typical asian mentality doesnt teach. typical asian mentality is to follow the path of others, and dont break out of comfort zone
