Haven't unbox yet but I've been using Mac mini M1 since Jan. Very fast and responsive. MBA will be the same unless it gets too hot then it'll slow down. I wonder how fanless will fare in Malaysian weather.

I'm using Viewsonic VX3276-2K-mhd with my Mac mini. Should be no problem with the MBA. If I have time I'll hook it up to double confirm.

Actually I never gave it any thought and wasn't aware of any incompatibility issues when I was shopping for my monitor. Then again the Viewsonic only goes up to 75Hz. Currently I have that 32" connected to my Mac mini via HDMI along with an old Dell 17" via a USBC-HDMI adaptor and a HDMI-DVI cable. The Dell only has DVI and VGA.

Viewsonic is cheap lah. Good is subjective. smile.gif I think it's good enough.

They have a 4K 32" but the panel is not IPS. The 2K one is IPS. I had planned to go look at the 4K at a shop then MCO started again so couldn't. Anyway it was above my budget so I stopped at the 2K 32", didn't look further and just ordered it from Shopee.

Plenty of very affordable 1080p 27" but I find 27" too big for 1080p.

Winebottler long time no update already. Haven't used that in awhile.

I use the wine from winehq but they haven't been releasing macOS builds for Catalina and above but can see here https://github.com/Gcenx/wine-on-mac for the latest builds. You'll need 6.2 devel for compatibility with M1 and Big Sur.

Another option is Crossover which is not free. It works pretty well too.

Can, Windows ARM will emulate Windows x86 software. So far I just use it to play some Windows only Steam games.

DHL tracking is not very detailed. The next update you get will be Arrived in Malaysia and probably With Delivery Courier on the same day.

You probably get it tomorrow. Has Apple emailed you the E-Invoice yet? If not, check again around 6:30pm.

Mine shipped Fri, delivered Tues. I'm in KL, that may have made a difference.

Apple uses DHL Express (not DHL eCommerce.) In the past they used UPS. So far no problems. This year alone, I've had a Mac mini, MBA and iMac delivered safely.
