I've tracked my SSD writes over a couple of days with varying time - and it averages about 20GB/day for my workload, which is within expectation.
My guess is people with high writes are really pushing their machines. Who knows.

I'd say it's Microsoft. They didn't build it to be performant on MacOS. Unfortunately, if you want the best performance, you're just going to have to use a Windows machine or Parallels/Fusion and hope that MS has a change of strategy one day. |
