Depends on your budget, if you can afford fancier cases then go for the likes Twelve South, UAG etc. But if you’re on the shoestring then any RM20-30 cases on Shopee or Lazada would do.

Same goes to the USB hub - Ugreen does the job as great as the rest, depends on your need whether u just want the USB, HDMI or VGA or what else.

To those who are thinking of buying a Mac from the Education Store, and worry about tax claim etc., just sharing that there's no indication in the invoice that your unit is from the Education Store or whatsoever. Unless you're an Apple staff (probably), you won't be able to tell if the purchase is from the Education Store.

Also one of the plus points buying online than local "Premium Resellers" is you'll be able to return your unit if it's found faulty on arrival - but local resellers wouldn't as your unit will to go through the usual warranty claim process.

Premium Resellers - I hate their business practice, trying to shove their own warranty programmes to customers who want to take up instalments. This should be highlighted to KPDNKK.


Be careful with no verification on Apple Education Store; Apple isn't dumb and they actually have Audit Rights in countries where they offer Education Price. Some examples:

So be prepared with extra dollars if you get caught abusing the programme. Worst, the programme gets discontinued for Malaysian students because of your dishonest. Don't abuse. Honesty is always the best policy.

Audit Rights

Apple routinely audits the purchases of customers at the Apple Store for Education to ensure that all purchase conditions have been observed. Should we discover that you have not observed all of the conditions applicable to your purchase, you authorize Apple:

If you placed your order by credit card, to charge to your credit card the difference between the amount you paid for the delivered goods and the price that Apple charged the general public for the same goods at the Apple Store, in effect on the date that you placed your order; and

If you paid by a means other than credit card, to (a) invoice you for the difference between the amount that you paid for the delivered goods and the price that Apple charged the general public for the same goods at the Apple Store, payable in fifteen days from the date of the invoice, and (b), should you fail to pay the invoice when due, institute legal action against you in a court of competent jurisdiction, with the prevailing party entitled to attorneys' fees.

Should Apple not offer to the general public the specific products that you purchased at the Apple Store for Education, your credit card will be charged or you will be invoiced the difference between the amount you paid for the delivered goods and the price that Apple charged the general public for the closest equivalent goods at the Apple Store, in effect on the date that you placed your order.

The ETA can be trusted. It'll drive you crazy while waiting but it'll be worth it.

Also to note that they usually arrive earlier than expected.
