Anyways, as expected, the 12 Pro Max will have the best battery life of the 12 series and that's more important than the incremental updates in the camera. I already find the camera of the 11 Pro Max to be very, very good actually. Am not surprised the 12 Pro Max camera isn't that big of a step change vs the 12 Pro - or even the 12 for that matter!

Now thinking if I still wanna get the 12/12 Mini for myself

Never used Outback before, only tried Pathfinder and Plasma. Both also quite thick actually, definitely won't recommend it to those who are looking for slim, sleek casings. But protection is really good with those two, so yeah, it's a trade off.

I haven't opened it yet as I'm waiting for my screen protector (iPhones are known to get a lot of micro scratches which is a big no for me). I was leaning towards the blue but not sure I would still like the color after a few months so I picked the black one.

I still have my Pixel 4. Now I can really compare the image quality of 2 of the best phone brands in the market.
I don't believe in tech reviewers because they have personal biases anyway just like everyone else.
