When economy not so good, staff all deduct salary by half.

Those are company staff, not part time workers.

Finisar profits is in billions, not millions. Finisar is 25% of entire Perak manufacturing GDP. just 1 company.

If i work for company like dat for 7 years and then they give bullshit excuse to cut salary by 50%, i also will flip table bah.

u worked 10 years without increment? You do know that Malaysian ringgit has inflation rate, right?

Rm1 today is less than the same amount 10 years ago.

At the very least, your company should match the current inflation rate of the country when paying your salary.

Finisar has branches too overseas in US so the overall parent company you quoted is not just Malaysia side operations.

There are much larger companies in Perak such as Top Glove, Toyo Tyres, Vale, Unisem, Carsem etc.

If company still making hundreds of millions each QUARTER (not yet count YEARLY), but then cut salary by half because "economy", thats a fucking dick move lah.

But then, fuck social responsibility, right?

Fuck those people who helped us become a billion dolla company. fuck them, fuck their parents, fuck their wifes, fuck their children. We need the numbers in the bank to go up.

When working with a staffing agency also ayam had many kilang clients, all also 2x5 be it Chinaman, Malay or even MNC kilang. The mentality to exploit workers to the max is always there.

Not worth it, bro. Imagine if someone died because you implemented some creative way to get around safety regulations for workers. How u gonna sleep for the rest of your life? I don't think the salary is worth it.
