I was told the main wait was not due to the claim process (1 month, standard even for cars), the wait is mainly due to parts. They will bring in ori parts, depending on your bike, will drag your repair time. This can take up to 2-3 months. Then repair will take 2 weeks to 3 months depending on your repair shop's capacity. I called one in wangsa and he told me there were a lot in queue, so even if the parts arrive, it will be another 3 months before they work on my bike.

For parts, normal maintenance parts are easily sourced, but for main components like forks, even CKD units will need to wait for shipment from origin country as they don't keep spares here iirc.
