I use the one with uv lamp and fan type. Works well.
Need to change uv lamp when its not effective anymore. Finding a same diameter fan when the fan kaputed is a pain (pudu)

Why don't want to install netting on the window? That's the only permanant sulition. If you want cheap can buy from hardware store and nail it onto the frame yourself. Or if you budget atas sikit can get the magnetic fastener type.

Just giving an update.
I bought one of these uv lamp with fan. Dint manage to capture any mosquito even after putting it inside a dark room for a few days. I dont recommend it. https://shopee.com.my/product/269553234/654...26-1605084072.9 Ive use this xiaomi mosquito repellent. Put it inside my own room. Dint notice or feel any mosquito bite after using it. Can last for 2-3 month before needing a refill based on the advertisment. Seems pretty decent for indoor solution. https://shopee.com.my/product/18695082/2076...26-1605084223.9 |

I use a mosquito net for my bed and DIY a wall-fan inside by attaching it to the wooden bed-posts = no need to use air-con to keep the mozzies away. Few years back during college time, poor fag me has no money for these stuff lol
Rented a landed house, nyamuk everyday will masuk my bilik. 2 years later, I became pro in catching nyamuk with my lighting reflexes The trick is, lock the door and open sikit sikit tingkap 20min before you sleep. Goyang goyang everything in your room, behind your curtain as well, to get any resting nyamuk out flying. And whack 9 the fucuker. I notice using mosquito coil is not as effective for me, ended up still need to kill those fucuker manually. |

ah...mosquitoes! my old nemesis. My house used to have a lot, have tried UV, aerosol, mymat and sawaday mosbye but all not effective. Did not try windows netting bcos I dont like fresh air being block form entering house. In the end my most effective solution is to use dettol, cheap and effective. Simply dilute it and spray it at the corners of the room, below the sofa and dining table, near the front door, toilets or window's pane or where ever you are sitting hanging around.
do it like a ritual every day when reached home and you will notice very2 little mosquito left, even ants also lesser. Also, when mopping the floor, put some dettol in, lagi effective. I also use the dettol to spray it at the mosquito when i sees one, it will drop on the floor instantly. the only problem is dettol will leaves stain on flooring tiles, so, what I did was i put cheap plastic plates at those places I would spray and sprayed on the plates. And also some people might not like the smells of dettol. ![]() |
