Most workshop is scam, I remember my dad told me there’s one workshop charging RM1k for window repair if paid cash but will charge RM2k+ for insurance.

How he know?

This is true.

That’s why always go through franchisers.

That’s at the very least of using counterfeits. If they do and get caught, it will simply tarnish their own branding which they wouldn’t wanna bet on.

So called workshop have all those scammers. Mapren even had the original reverse sensor stolen and claim that it’s broken.

After rage at the workshop and insistent for the so called broken installed back only the workshop gave in. Even made police report about it.

Too many unscrupulous so called workshops there. For general repair or change motor oil can la. Def not letting safety having second thoughts.

Never really asked for details, but pretty sure this is common.

Both should be investigated for anti-competitive activities.

1. Boycott via a collective of an association acting like a cartel can be anti-competitive under the Act.

2. Automatic denial of manufacturer/ distributor warranty for repairs and LEGAL modifications by third party workshop such as sound systems, tinting etc is ANTI competitive under the Act. Of course if the repairs or mods were done incorrectly, the relevant part would not subject to manufacturer’s warranty.

This has been well established in EU Aus UK etc just google. Manufacturers are even compelled to share technical repair guides with third party workshops.

NCD will reset back 1 year from 55% > 45% > 38.3% > 25%
