DuitNow QR works with those participating e-wallets scanning the pink DuitNow QR code

How about say I use ShopeePay to scan TnG QR code?

Your 1st sentence already has the answer to your question.

Keyword emphasize: PINK

Ya I know their QR is working

What I mean is QR from other e-wallets

In my area I have never seen any merchant displaying DuitNow QR so this initiative is as good as none to me

Scan an e-wallet's DuitNow QR using another e-wallet app you mean?
Can, I've tried TnG e-wallet and ShopeePay with Boost DNQR before. No problem.

Thanks for the useful info thumbsup.gif

And this is what I am hoping for!

Sure?
Your area didn't have Maybank QRPay and Boost merchants? Recently they replaced their merchant QR to Duitnow QR format already.

SURE

In fact not many here are displaying QR so 99% they scan me

And remaining are TnG blue frame QR

Boost red frame only a few and Maybank or DN is like rare species

As long the QR shown is a DUITNOW QR, then you can ignore the banner that comes along with it.

1) DNQR + Grab banner = any eWallet support DNQR, yes.
2) DNQR + TnG banner = any eWallet support DNQR, yes.
3) QR + Grab banner = only Grab eWallet.
4) QR + TnG banner = only TnG eWallet.

But one thing I found out i that, if the merchant displays DNQR but it’s their bank account(savings account), you will need to scan using your bank app. eWallets won’t be able to recognize that QR. Dumb me keep scanning the bank account’s DNQR on a eWallet but it kept on saying not recognized.

What I am looking for is pure e-wallet QR

spyrr tried and it worked unless he misunderstood me

You mean like this one? If this, nope. Someone else need to scan this in TnG only can. If you try other eWallets eventhought they support DNQR, it won’t work.

This is for merchant to scan customer

I am referring to the blue TnG or red Boost hard cardboard that merchants put on their counter for customer to scan

Ah, still. As long it’s PINK (or at least mentioned it’s a DNQR) in colour, there’s no need to worry what and which eWallet’s cardboard is that. Just use any DN eWallet to scan it. The cardboard is just a cardboard. Just for advertising purposes

But I am asking whether red Boost or blue TnG will do, not PINK

I don;t see PINK around my area

NVM will find out if I happen to purchase something from one of them

The original Boost (red label) and TnG (blue label) QR code is still valid. Just use the appropriate ewallet to scan it. Boost scan Boost, TnG scan TnG.

The latest DuitNow QR (pink label) still has weakness. If the DNQR is provided by BANKS , most likely eWallet fail to detect it. If I'm not mistaken, only DNQR by MAE (register as merchant) can accept payment by ewallets successfully.

GrabPay scan MAE DNQR,  successful, NO POINTS EARNED.
Boost scan MAE DNQR, successful, can get Boost Coins.
TnG scan MAE DNQR, successful, as usual (no cashback)

Sounds like another half-baked initiative again doh.gif
