psp slim = 64MB main memory

psp fat = 32MB main memory

so, that means some games that is designed to work with PSP slim only cant work in PSP fat ??

so it is not like NDS and NDSL,where it is only physical difference,

it is like ps1 and ps2 ??

I don't think memory affects games to that extent...
Its just supposed to help load games faster. Old PSP models should still be able to play newer games with a little longer loading time.

btw...long time no see mindkiller6610 tongue.gif

I was hoping for the same as well. If the old gen PSP is not able to play the new generations one, then i'll be doomed..LOL..

that is a phone. different. this is a handheld game machine. what is promised not necassary will be delivered. and with the constant firware upgrades, prx, the menu, the compatibility issue bla bla bla. remember how they said ps3 gonna have dual hdmi ports? or ps2's graphics will be on par with toy story? or the rumor psp with built in hdd? comparing phone dev with game dev is totally irrelavant. and remember nGage? LOLz!

I think it is quite pointless what to get or not old. The old "fat" PSP production is stop and already in phasing out. From next month onwards the only one is the slim. No choice for future buyers unless, they buy recon or 2nd hand. Then the ones (that "promotes" fat psp is good but secretly want the new PSP), that sell the 2nd hand will buy the new PSP..haha. It is stupid even asking this question, definately the slim is generally better in everything. Lighter, slimmer, tv out already, more efficient battery consumption (doubtful but tend to agree), 64 MB Ram, sexier, and all for the same price as the "old" fat PSP. No brainer really.

Now, the question is, is it possible for homebrew for that FW 3.60 for the slim one. Possible for the "ahem" which will make it sell like hot cakes in Malaysia. Which makes the above question to get or not even more no brainer.

It's natural for some PSP old owner envious and jelous lar...but for true gamer and loaded one, they'll just buy another PSP no problem. The one, no $$$ will just bring bad negative comments about the new one bla bl or how the old one better la (can use to hit dog lar what lar)...common lar....who move my cheese liow situation... human nature loh. Understandable.

Can't wait for the new one to release soon enough, and let see lor...if homebrew catch up fast or not. Exciting games ahead..crisis core...hmm....
