Hi all ! smile.gif

Am thinking to replace the ceiling of my 2-storey Terrace home . It's the old type of ceiling (i believe it is asbestos?) , and I am just worried that my family is slowly breathing in the asbestos .. As it's quite old, some parts are damaged .

Sometimes the "Musang/Civet" will somehow find it's way into my attic and start running around on the attic causing a racket , and light dust can be seen falling down from ceiling .. rclxub.gif laugh.gif Guess I'm just mainly concerned about my family's health.

So far I only know 2 options :

1) Replace the ceiling with the same materials, new and undamaged . .. But read that it could be a serious health hazard if renovators need to remove, as the asbestos fibres will fly around.

2) Saw some recommendation to just paint the current old asbestos ceiling, and install Plaster Ceiling . (I also read that plaster ceiling, if damaged, is also a health hazard? I know it's debatable, as there's conflicting info about Plaster Ceiling) ...

3) _______________ (What other options do I have? Cement ceiling?)
