Nowadays the trend is to use the plaster ceiling. I am currently doing the same thing at my house. Replacing old asbestos ceiling with plaster ceiling. Plaster ceiling is not dangerous. Same material as the drywall partition.
Thinking of replacing ceiling of my home, 2-storey terrace, more than 20 years old
