ok, since i don't wanna take any risk, lemme get this straight, i have to reformat my memory card so that is works better on the new firmware?
How exactly am i suppose to reformat it? Is the step by step procedure like this?
1) Connect phone to com via usb and select mass storage
2) At My Computer, open the memory card and copy everything inside to a temporary folder in my computer.
3) Reformat memory card via phone.
4) Connect phone to computer again and copy all the backup files in the temporary folder into the memory card.

Is that all? Must this be done b4 you upgrade the firmware? or after?Pls Help Me! really need technical assistance here!

hmmmm did you backup the memory card contents when you first bought the phone?

if you did, copy your latest content in your memory card to a certain directory in your pc. then restore the 1st backup you made.
after restoring it, copy and overwrite the data from the directory you created in your pc to your phone memory card.

your asia maps n word database shld be there

if you didnt do a backup, you can downoad the word database from nokia asia website.

as for asia maps i don't know where you can download.
alternatively, you could get someone who has made a backup when they first bought the n95 and send it over to ya.
ONLY if all methods fail then pm me. i'll help you figure out a solution if i can and when i have the time.
