Frm my friend's feedback Solvi Titus automatic watch, 1 week run 5-10 minutes from actual time, shit accuracy

My 500 bucks Orient runs 1 minute difference per week out from factory, never tuned

Will report back after one week usage

Seems like u are new to Automatic watch. U will lose accuracy even if u wear it everyday. How much accuracy u lose is depending on your movement.
*
Meaning I shouldn't move aggressively to maintain the accuracy?

All this while, I have been using quartz, this is my very first automatic watch

Maybe that's the reason.

Automatic movement average can last 38 hours before losing out of energy. So, if you wear everyday and move around, then you shouldn't have any issue with accuracy.
*
That is not how you measure accuracy.

Quite the opposite, accuracy becomes secondary if you frequently rotate between a few mechanical watches, as you'll probably have to re-set the time everytime.

If it's your only piece, you want it to be bang on so you don't have to recalibrate every week.

What you're referring to here is the power reserve, not accuracy.

However, it is true that if you keep your power reserve topped up, you get better accuracy as compared to when your mainspring is almost out of torque.

I mean if you less wear, the power reserve will be fully depleted and you need to recalibrate the next time you wear and the time accuracy may have gone a few minutes to hours depending how long it was unused

yes, so that u will get to observe the deviation of few seconds per day..

That's how u check the accuracy. In terms of accuracy nothing beats Quartz watch.. But Grand Seiko's Spring drive are best of both world (Auto + Quartz tech)

Beautiful watch with a very interesting dial.

Did you notice that the Roman numeral dial has a IIII instead of a IV at 4 O’clock for better dial balance? I believe it was first used by Cartier but other watchmakers soon followed.

Don’t listen to ktards here. A watch is a very personal purchase. As long as it sings to you, wear it in good health.

To me, it’s a beautiful watch that looks very similar to a Patek Philippe Calatrava from a distance.

I don’t think Rolex does dress watches that well. Their Celine line loses out to Jaeger LeCoultre.

I believe TS is looking for dress watches below 2k. S&T is a good choice in that price range.

Just googled Patek Philippe Calatrava...so damn expensive...I can buy X50 standard/executive with that price
