QUOTE(eek-1 @ Dec 4 2020, 12:16 AM) What's with the glowing text in dolby vision screenshot? Is that full array local dimming or edge lit? You mean pic from Netflix ?That pic has snap by phone. This TV no FALD and no Edge lit. Local (micro) dimming and direct led. Edit: Just checked....50" from RM2.2K go up to RM2.550 , 55" slightly down to RM3.150. Note: Do not install any file sharing app (ie..ES File Manager) linked to your LAN...like SMB and Upnp, as original installed Media Player will stop working. QUOTE(Momo33 @ Dec 4 2020, 01:15 AM) ya... was looking at available specs like contrast , color , gamut , brightness  etc.. Hard to say difference, but PQ is very nice, plenty possibility to adjust.is the pix quality  better on Dobly Vision or HDR ?  or same same ? What I like is that I can play with firmware up and down, great support from many forums. TV came with V356 firmware, then I try V378, 395, then go down to 379 (now). As budget TV, I am very happy. Android 10 coming soon.... Edit: Still one peace for RM2.2K..... https://shopee.com.my/TCL-50C716-50-QLED-4K...6337.3467372303 https://www.lazada.com.my/products/tcl-50c7...nKc5wn&search=1 This post has been edited by stasio: Dec 4 2020, 01:31 AM |

QUOTE(Dubl1n @ Dec 5 2020, 07:31 PM) Have u compared the picture quality of this tcl vs others sony samsung etc brand? With its price range I don't own a TV shop to compare with certain models. This is still a budget TV, so put in this perspective and my 3th TV in the house (my room). For me, I am very happy with my purchase. Plenty of OTA and IMG firmware (easy to flash),plenty of reviews (YouTube...many...) and plenty of support thru various forums. Easy to enter Factory Service Menu. Pic quality from Astro.... How slow is the UI, espescially when navigating Android TV. I saw the reviews mentioned sluggishness as a con.
I tried Sony x7500h & Panasonic hx655 which is in the same price range and all is within what I consider snappy. I also tried Hisense A7400f which has a much lower price than others and I consider the Android TV experience very sluggish. So if someone can compare against that, it would be great. As a sidenote, looks like sellers are selling the 50in model for 2.5k now... |

Reviews done earlier has been probably with V2xx firmware and slow and sluggish UI. Now is in V3xx range and much better. 12.12 Sony 49" X75H will be RM2399 (but no Dolby Vision/Atmos,HDR10+) This post has been edited by stasio: Dec 8 2020, 07:39 PM ivan0826 liked this post
