I think FIA's step to be economical and environtmental frenly is good and technology wise can be used in a production line...think about the efficiency of the f1 engine now....

But i personally disagree with their arguments that changing tyre rules and compound and lowering the engine capacity will promote more overtaking.

To me if u want more overtaking, propose reverse grid order...but ego is big in this business...and lots of money is involved to be gamble cutting through the field.

Evo...yup...soften the springs.

But fundamentally it really depends on the nature of the track....softening the suspension is fine it also means that ur ride height will change more and can result in the instability of the car, e.g after the bump ride....especially if theres a turn after the bump. So more track time and up and down motec to make sure u have the best compromise.

Yup....i prefer to leave the bump and rebound settings to the very last when other things dont work. Sometimes its not the setup that is not right, but ur driving instead......If the setup theoratically should work, then double check ur driving...if ure sure ur driving is ok, check setup instead. And reach a compromise where both will lead to being competitive and finishing the race.

And most driving games like rfactor garage has been laid out according to wut should be set up first (i think) i.e. wings, fuel load, tyre selection and gear ratio on page one. On page two, tyre pressure and springs settings and all....and on the last is the toe setting.....so i would normally, for example , move to page two if every trial and error on page one and some adjustment to the approach on the track, is not working. i.e. if reducing the rear wings dont improve oversteer, andu already to the best possible line into the corner, then move on and try to fix it with the springs....softening front or hardening rear to improve oversteer....

At least thats how i do it...

Pc....sorry man...it was my rookie season....tempers were running abit high that day coz my car was not working as it should. As u can see also the fight between me and sabelt. It was physical maan....i dont wanna do it again. Like ive said before...ive learn alot from my v8 season.....looking forward to learn even more from you guys....

I think the physics are somewhat even between macca, ferrari and renault. so goes the midfielders and backmarker cars....

Yeah i was talking abt our online league as well...all i know FSONE has slightly diff physics for diff manufacturer coded in the mod. If we are to use same physics for all, i think we need to change the physics files for each car....up to the admins and advisors

I agree with you abt the difficulty....its more about consistency and reflexes....but also at the same time the fundamental driving and racing priciples are also put to the test. Just my two cents.

Im 6 secs off the pace in Kyalami...still not accustomed to my new rig capabilities and subconciously spotting differences compared to my old rig (jakun cycle....lol) My momo also seems to give all sorts of prob despite using the same old settings....maybe need some tweaking coz sim driving setup is also depended on ur pc capabilities. I dont dare to touch the car setup just yet...trying to still familiarise myself with basic characteristics of the car before changing it to my own.

Pitt and PCcrazy is apparently on the groove already. sigh.

shah....i had those probs like a million times already............the best cure..........re-format ur HD....by the sound of it, doesnt sound good....

Dx8 should help but in this case no. If u were running OK with dx9 last time, it should be something with ur OS or HDD.

Finish setting up my pc but tomorrow nite is my sis besday dinner...so im out for the test race tomorrow..
