Hi there,

I was recently charged with LHDN late submission fee of RM 6k+++, I submitted on 31st Aug, but system was kicking me out, so I came in on 1st Sept morning 9 am I logged in and paid.

However, now they are charging me for late submission.

What can I do?

Will appeal letter worked?

Any experience?

Thx

Do you hv documented proof that it was the lhdn system that kicked you out whole day on 31 Aug?
Wow 6k++ can appeal, but I think one must pay first than only appeal

Nope, cause i tot it is a trival issue, and I thought 31st everyone would submit and that it might be down.

Late submission is the extra tax you need to pay? I have experience with CP500, tax agent submitted on 2nd Oct when last day was 30th Sep. They charge me 10% penalty and don't entertain my appeal. Normally LHDN won't entertain appeal, not worth it to go down there wait donkey hours to meet an officer then tell you sorry can't appeal.

Unless you can prove system down, if not I don't think they will entertain you. But do update us if you manage to get the appeal done and how you do it. My experience dealing with LHDN is not pleasant.

Next year, submit on time.

Treat it as tuition fee.

Did you make any payment online at that date on 31st August 2020? Normally, if the LHDN kick you out and they kinda reject payment, the bank will send FYP email saying payment for not successful. If you print this, then can appeal, if not, you have no supporting at all, then cannot.

Sorry... Hard to appeal...
Just pay...
Next year... Start earlier.. because malaysia one always suck especially if last minute work.. keep down / crash...

Edit:
They got no money now...
So even chase years ago $$$ too... In the name of "under declaration" or paid 😁 especially corporate one... Individuals depends....

The 6k+ is the penalty? That is quite a big sum considering the penalty is. 10% increment from the tax payable
