My temp using everest to detect it.. (no air-con)
WD 80GB = 35°C (use to run window) Seagate 1TB = 39°C (24/7 torrent-ing/backup) All HDD with fan blowing it... o.O |

wow, a reply one year too late?!
 anyways, the airflow within the casing is important to keep the temperature lower. something between 40-60 C is fine. |

My WD Caviar Blue 320GB with Coolermaster 120MM 90CFM fan - Max. 40 degree celcius, the lowest temp ever recorded - 30 degree celcius. Without fan - Max. 45 degree celcius
