I've been reading through this thread from page 1 after I was given a real-size pamphlet of this tablet PC. I'm planning to buy it at PIKOM PC Fair 2007 @ KL Covention Center this weekend, so I'd like to get some last minute reviews and opinions before I buy it. Please share your experiences. For now, after I did some researches, this is my verdict before I buy:

PROS:
* Innovative touchpad
* Mini remote control for movies, music and photos (COOL!)
* Reasonable cost (is it still RM2999?)
* Touchscreen (if you select this as an option on your tx1000) doesn't require stylus (Can I get this upgrade @ LY?)
* Good selection of ports and multimedia buttons
* Good amount of included accessories such as screen wipe and weight saver
* Screen is scratch-resistant

CONS:
* Screen has some graininess and reflective in office environments (not very bright too)
* Build is mostly plastic, some flex in parts
* No FireWire port
* Can run warm when under demanding use (60-70C)
* Slightly thicker than it should be (quite fat)
* Low write-recognition sensitivity (big letdown for me)
* Passive digitizer (not good enough if I want to use Photoshop)

ALTERNATIVES?
1. Fujitsu LifeBook T4215
2. Toshiba Portege 3505
3. So many TX100 series...

REVIEWS:
1. cnet video review
2. expert review on notebookreview.com
3. User opinions on tabletpcreview.com
4. User opinions on cnet.com

Hope to hear from you guys soon! (before this weekend! icon_question.gif )

EDIT: Is this the latest TX1000 series available?

Thanks demio,

I went to LY yesterday to see the tablet myself. TX13++ runs on Centrino Core2Duo for RM3000++. I expect a little increase in perfomance. An HP guy mentioned that there might be a new model soon. Perhaps it will be introduced during PC Fair just right for Christmas. Anybody can confirm this? BTW, the tablet is awesome! (quite heavy for mobile computing though).
