I'm one that pampers the phone too, and since I stayed home most of the time during CMCO, it's seldom in my pocket as well... Just went out these 2 days to the office and noticed the shinny part this morning already 

Bought the case from Machines and the 12 Pro forum mentioned that reseller seldom layan warranty claims for cases

honestly, that shocked me too bro  it's rarely happen btw. say, in a week, 5 days 3%, 2 days 0%. this is since 14.3 update. i didn't do anything like clearing recent apps etc. usually when i back home from work, charge my phone until 100% (around  10pm - 12am), pull the charging cable, then go to sleep.

Mine won’t drop any % if my phone is on airplane mode. If wifi and mobile data on, then will drop 3% per night

after reading mycolumn's reply:
now i remember, i set a bedtime on my phone, which starts at 10:30pm and ends at 6:00am. during this period of time, all notifications will be silenced, and do not turn up my phone's screen when there's notification. I guess this is the reason why on some days there's no drain.

0% drain usually happens after the phone is fully charged to 100% but it’s a little artificial, mostly software related. 3-5% drain would be normal. Bear in mind the iPhone 12’s battery capacity is not even 3000mAh which is laughable in 2020/2021 but that’s the way Apple rolls.

I would be happy to answer you. Yes, it's under the front glass. We can't touch it but the glass can get scratched.

I'm just curious. What was your phone prior the iPhone 12? I'm asking this because 99.9% of smartphone front cameras are under the GLASS. Like basically all phones?!

And spoiler alert, all smartphone rear cameras are also under a glass. Else, you will be touching the camera module.

Only thing stopping the camera lense exposure is the Sapphire glass that you are able to touch. Is that what you meant?

Again, ALL cameras, be it the front or back, is covered by some form of glass. Regardless if it is sapphire or not.

To make it simpler, imagine the whole FRONT DISPLAY is covered with sapphire glass. All parts (camera, screen display, sensors) are UNDER the sapphire glass. Do you think the screen isn't protected of anything? The screen itself has layers and layers of protective sheet. You're not touching the screen itself but the GLASS on top of it.

The same concept is done at the BACK camera. On top of the camera module IS a glass, regardless if it's made of sapphire or not.

An exposed camera module looks like this. Notice how the camera lens at the center is an "orb" and not flat? Because it's not covered with anything. You put a sheet of glass (sapphire, gorilla glass, you name it) on top to protect it.

If you've ever seen a phone without some kind of cover and you can physically touch the camera sensor then by all means, let us know.

Haha, I’m surprised you’re still having this issue. My auto update is on and I’ve not experienced any of the battery drain you have even after close to two months using my iPhone 12 now
