Coincidentally I received my GaN adapter 65W just one day after iPhone 12 was announced, I ordered on 10th Oct. I bought for other purpose (spare unit to bring for travel) but I guess everything is fated.

QUOTE(Ydontukickme @ Oct 30 2020, 12:28 PM) May I know how normally the Digi preorder works? Can we preorder online from their website or must preorder from their store ? Yes, can do online but must sign up Freedom 365 package.QUOTE(blacktubi @ Oct 30 2020, 12:43 PM) PSA: iPhone 12 series charge at 22.5W peak rate. I got mine from Kuulaa 65w on 10.10 with store vouchers only RM 29. The 20W brick from Apple isn't going to provide the maximum charging rate. I'm going to order another Anker 30W GaN charger this 11.11. Works extremely well as I'm using it to charge my Carbon X1 laptop now. |

It seems many of us are getting the 12 Pro Max but for my real life friends, mostly girls are going with just 12 Pro... They said Max is too big for them but luckily my current phone is already big enough so I'm used to it.

QUOTE(Lon3Rang3r00 @ Oct 30 2020, 02:28 PM) I guess i'll go for Sengheng. Saw colleague mentioned that their EZ Credit can used to discount other electrical appliance (include smartphone). Probably head down to one of the shop and see if i can pre-order early than that time. Rm300 deposit right? Why still no iPhone 12 pro max review hmm... Err.. Because it will start selling only on 13th Nov, not only Malaysia but other first wave countries too. |

QUOTE(Lon3Rang3r00 @ Oct 30 2020, 02:56 PM) MKBHD caught me there, I'm those who willing to pay more just for the Pacific Blue. Coming from Oneplus 7Pro.. I can say that the Pro Max is massive, I already rant on the weight over my 7Pro and Pro max is heavier than that based on GSM comparison, i really doubt I'll get that. But then, it's only Rm400 Difference and i'll get Better overall camera sensor and tech, 30% more battery, and bigger screen.... oh gosh.. how. I'm using 7T Pro at the moment, so our phone size is the same. I will go for Pro Max because I'm already used to it and yes it is big for me but I don't want to go back to smaller screen phone. QUOTE(_kilakila_ @ Oct 30 2020, 03:02 PM) Do you use it to charge your phone as well? I heard that the high vol might damage the phone in long run if it doesnt support it Nope, only once for testing purpose. No point of me using it with my current phone as it doesn't activate the fast charging (warp charging by OnePlus' term).Let's see how it goes as I cannot end up with too many adapters. |

QUOTE(micwin1437 @ Oct 30 2020, 03:13 PM) To fast charge, you need a fast-charging phone and power adapter. The charging power and speed depend on the minimum output of the two devices. If an iPhone supports 18W fast charging, then the maximum charging capacity is 18W, even if you use a 96W charger. Thanks for the information, no wonder some of my friends bought 100w for their devices.https://www.ipitaka.com/blogs/news/the-appl...hone-any-faster |

QUOTE(attw @ Oct 30 2020, 03:18 PM) For those who are counting on the 2nd year extended warranty from Senheng, I'd just like to share an experience I had. Many years ago, when dinosaurs still rule the earth, I bought a HTC Diamond from them (for those of you who've never heard of that phone, now you know how uncle I am, hahaha) and after 16 months or so, the Motherboard gave way and I brought it back to Senheng for repair. I didn't get the device back till more than two months later and a lot of times trying to follow-up with them on the status was an exercise in futility. Hate to admit this but I know what HTC Diamond is. That of course was many, many, many years ago, hahahaha. Not sure if it has improved recently. I have since then bought many devices from them still but so far never claimed any extended warranty coz I don't keep my devices for more than a year these days. That said, I also don't really trust reseller's extended warranty unless it is coming from the manufacturer itself. QUOTE(bryvx @ Oct 30 2020, 04:57 PM) try luck in case anyone got lubang haha. Like shopback giving 2% cashback for apple store (never tried tho) It is only worth if you are using that data plan, if you a low data user, then no point of getting telco bundled set.tbh never thought of getting a phone with telco deal due to the stories I've heard, it being not worth it in the end/more expensive (overly priced monthly plans etc.). Kindly correct me if i'm wrong. Currently using GX38(rm35 umobile prepaid plan) However, if you are a heavy user and take Digi for example, Freedom 365 RM 190 plan gets you 200GB data and with RM 600 discount for 24 months, that's RM 165 per month and phone installment price. So, in long term it is actually cheaper. If you subscribe to standalone RM 190 plan, you only get 100GB. |

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Oct 31 2020, 12:57 PM) Good to hear that. QUOTE(Area51SE @ Oct 31 2020, 12:57 PM) Well iOS optimization for Apps is great. Seen reviews where iPhone with 3GB RAM can beat Androids with higher RAM. So i guess should be no issue Great. *Just my opinion based on Youtube reviews* QUOTE(Carlo J @ Oct 31 2020, 02:03 PM) OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition. QUOTE(sramesh @ Oct 31 2020, 02:30 PM) I think minimum upgrade eligibility is 24 months, else there’s a penalty fee for the phone. You may check their T&C at the website. Nope. 18 months for tier 1 phones and iPhone is one of them. Can exchange for a new phone with new contract and need to return current phone. After 24 months, current phone belongs to you as the contract has expired and need to re-contract again for a new phone. QUOTE(sramesh @ Oct 31 2020, 02:35 PM) iPhone even with 4GB RAM is good enough. With 6 GB almost all apps remain open in the background, no need to reload. Tech YouTubers have tested this. Good. I dislike all the auto-reload. sramesh liked this post

QUOTE(Lon3Rang3r00 @ Oct 31 2020, 04:51 PM) So meaning you don't own any of the phone, you can keep changing and only got the phone after you terminate the contract with Digi? I always wanted to get a telco package, but then i didn't use half of 30Gb on internet, so end up downgrading my plan. If you complete 24 months, the phone belongs to you. If you complete minimum 17 months or 19 months (with no outstanding payment) depends on your phone's tier, you can exchange to a new phone but need to return back your current phone in good working condition. Your contract will be restarted again when you exchange for a new phone. This is known as Digi Freedom 365 plan. Read more: https://www.digi.com.my/support/help-center...honefreedom-365 |

QUOTE(Carlo J @ Nov 1 2020, 10:49 AM) I see, for 7T Pro is already 12GB. Normal 7T Pro has 8GB RAM, only McLaren Edition has 12GB. OnePlus is one of the long lasting Android phones out there, my mum's 3T is still working fine after 3 years. That said I have never utilized more than 8GB and yes it's good and my elder sister is also using my old 3T and she may inherit my current phone once I switch to iPhone. QUOTE(attw @ Nov 2 2020, 11:53 AM) The most ignorant claims from iPhone folks I get is "Android sure lag one" - hahaha.. The last time they used Android phones were probably 7 or 8 years ago Yes and I am still open to iOS though I haven't used iOS before for mobile phone. Let's see if it will win my heart or otherwise and I shall go back to Android.Anyways, buy whatever rocks your boat. There really is no need for the back and forth... There is no perfect phone in this world and don't need to be biased just because you prefer that specific OS, it reflects so much of one's characters.
