haha didn’t expect an impromptu and impulsive sharing made me sounded like dissing Apple.
Perhaps I was a little nostalgic going through w Apple revolutionizing pc, laptops, music(!), connectivity (phone) and now photography,
might have be a bit gullible to the attention catching news of the recent ip12. And maybe the latest gadgets doesn’t suit my lifestyle as in airpods, watches or airpay. I do enjoy very much how Apple made digital writing via ipad a reality though.
Thought it might be safe to just rant abit among fellow fans rather than the kopitiam side haha
Anyways that’s how forum works, everyone can speak up.

"sitting on display"
surely you jest? you do know how many people touch the display set iphones in apple stores especially for new iphones?
plenty of display units have tonnes of scratches for older models last time but now its a hoohah cause someone posted it for new phones. this kind of news are just baiting you into something that would obviously happen. should see my caseless ip6 back then, the amount of scratches on it would make them cry then. people expect too mcuh thinking they have some scratchproof design, nothing is unscratchable in this world.
yup, you are right. But i do rmb one of the iphone 6? 7? the sides are more easily scratched due to the coating. No big deal.

I think you’re just justifying for yourself.
Alot of things that Apple does, is not picked up by the public because they chose to close a blind eye and condemn for the sake of condemning - just for the sake of FOMO. I am not biased towards any brands, but I always believe in a brand’s philosophy and if the brand works and looks good, I’m good with it.
When you mentioned ‘revolutionary’, tell me.. what other brands are ‘revolutionizing’ the mobile phone space at this juncture? As we’ve mentioned in the past few pages - the mobile phone industry is already at the pinnacle of technology, now it’s just the renovation and updating phase. It’s a life cycle. Also, if you’ve watched Jerryrigseveryting’s latest iPhone 12 video - you will notice alot of components has been remodified, restructured, and redesigned to the extend even Jerry himself is impressed. These are the small things that brands do that most people will bat an eye on.
To answer your question - display units are abused to the core, don’t compare personal and display units. Unless you are going to treat your phone the same way as people treat display units. Apple is not a perfect company by any means, but when it comes to industrial design and vision - they are simply up there. Why do people diss Apple eventhough they are not a user? Top of Mind. It’s a brand that has already instilled in the mind of many - this is what they always wanted.
yup, you are right but not so much about justifying for myself. Just thought it could be a possibility due to huge expectations nearly the whole world on launching the latest product. Hopefully i’m wrong on the fine tuning but it’s not a huge matter just wanting to add in the many conspiracy theories here, but at this moment I still “defend” Apple among my social circles
that Apple still provide the best value for tech as it outlasts generally almost Windows (laptop) or Android phones as materials, quality and software is well designed
and not just chasing after treads or specs alone. Design does mean something to Apple imho, similar to your point about philosophy. I’m sure all the constant software updates will sort things out.
Yeah I think I responded to your “tell me” above, my mind wasn’t on phone alone, but I do agree on the pinnacle of tech especially phones, anything else will be like calling using fingers only ha!
But overall hope my random sharing didn’t cause any dissatisfaction! Sorry for the long replies. Not dissing Apple - konpirm!

Perhaps the tipping point was shocking on the more than 50% battery for the gaming part though I still can’t understand how people play games on phones

too small screen. Shall learn to be more steady like many forumers here.
