QUOTE(herojack41 @ Oct 4 2020, 01:07 AM) this is so call " campro engine" but it isn't the same. Even though it say heavily revised, it just lost out the fuel consumption vs rival on today's market. Maybe lack of aluminium engine block use effect the weight of the engine. it has been heavily revise and bolt on VVT tech into it. so it isn't the original campro. based on what i read from other owner...this persona engine had some same parts as preve which is built to withstand turbo charge stress. and now is running on NA instead of turbo charge. i think the first thing to die is the CVT instead. Had a Preve cfe and waja cps as my office use car, both fuel consumption is really on high side especially the preve cfe. Averaging 8km/l on preve while 9-10km/l for cps. Believe persona vvt not much different on fc. Cvt is annoying poor on preve |

Maybe lack of aluminium engine block use effect the weight of the engine. Engine weight maybe contributed around 50kg more only compared to all aluminium The rest of the extra weight is due to proton chassis. Even my 2.0L 20 years old engine with 225hp only use average 10km/L (40% highway, 60% penang island office hours). Somemore i am spirited driver.. perhaps its time to change your oxygen sensor if more than 80k km no change d. Small investment of rm200 to get at least 15% fuel savings back. QUOTE(FlamingFox @ Oct 4 2020, 03:58 AM) Vios feels like it has some acceleration pedal lag, well the newer ones that is. The first ever Vios was instantaneous but maybe it's a safety feature, who knows. The newest Vios gearbox is CVT, that's why responsive is not good if compared to first version of Vios (4AT) |

Better and harder metal used in certain parts of the car, making the chasis heavier a bit. sure or not oxygen sensor can help? i drive preve cfe, now feel wan change car but the economy not good. haiz. but i worry x50 become like preve no resale value again and the car doesnt really can last like 10-15yrs. what i mean is like if i drive a altis i bought in 2012, i will still drive it and no reason to change car becos the car aging quite well in terms of looks and interior, so u dont have to change car again. if x50 then later 7-8yrs wan change again, then need spend another money again..Btw your preve and waja very high fuel consumption le. Small investment of rm200 to get at least 15% fuel savings back. my preve have no major issue like reliability problem at all, no broke down before. just fuel guzzler and perceived quality isnt there. dont feel like buying another proton badge, but seems like public view on proton has changed so much since x70.
