Few days ago i go proton showroom, kot kot they got insider info how much the price and also want to test proton persona.
So as i go in, didnt tell them about the x50 first. Told them I am interested in the persona. Took for test drive.

My review for proton persona:
Power comparable to vios.
Handling quite similar to vios.
Surprisingly Nvh better than vios especially when pecut time. Vios engine noise also noticeably louder.
Interior feel a bit less elegant than vios but its ok for me.
Sitting position in the persona is nice. I like the fabric seats one, less on the leather seat.
I tested the executive version and the vios im comparing to is about 3 years old. Back to back driving so i can make the comparison. This proton persona very value for money (standard cvt 44k, exec 49k, premium 54k) actually which makes me still considering this car.

Next, i asked about the x50. The salesgirl told me its around rm75k for the standard version. I told her isn't this the khabar angin price not real one right? The girl said the price will be around 75k.. woo..cheap! She said i can booking for rm500 but i told her its crazy to book now as the price not confirm and i havent even seen the car yet. Then the girl said got many people booking the x50 from her, so its not actually that crazy..

Wah is it just me or malaysians very yolo type? If just 75k memang value for money wei to get all the extra compared to persona.

I guess x50 interior will be like x70 interior premium feel. And what i have gather about x50 specs, memang this x50 more value for money compared to persona.

Its ok to be driving persona btw, not everyone's circumstances/thinking are the same.

I know not a sale, but for them to place booking, they shld have a certain level of confidence in servicing the loan right?

If smoothly press and accelerate like normal, comparable to vios, not much lag. For me how also cvt have lag since im driving manual but its ok for me.
If directly hard acceleration, yes got about 0.5 lag before it pecut.

Many china products quality ok now. If course dont buy non branded china products. You see those electronics like tv, handphones, aircond all china brands also ok.

Yup exec is semi leather. I also went and sit in the showroom car which is standard version. That one is fabric, which i more prefer.

Real or not? I feel sama saja back to back drive.

But persona turning radius is smaller than vios which is a plus point.

B13 is my play car. This x50 will be my future family car. Was hoping for vw Scirocco...but too much problem. Bmw also out since not very reliable.
Family car needs to be reliable, comfortable and relatively powerful when one family inside. Also needs space hence only sedan or suv.

Kancil usually melei play one. Maybe that kancil already swap engine into the 660cc turbo engine, enough to take on x70?

Based on overseas feedback, the engine and gearbox relatively trouble free. Of course in the longer term not sure yet but the tech used is quite reliable. If its the problematic tech like dsg dry clutch in vw cars, i wont consider it already.

Haha maybe he is just curious just how much powerful is the x70 compared to his stock kancil.
Like how i was curious about the golf gti performance, so i tail it with my previous toyota seg with 4age blacktop. I know i will lose, but just want to see how far i will tertinggal hahahha

My engine is healthy, in fact just rebuilt last time. Wont lie, i had a silver inkling of hope that maybe i can just tail it and wont tertinggal so badly.
But nope, as i smoked real bad. My previous blacktop got 7.8 seconds for 0-100..
