13A socket got neutral line. All smart switch at my home using neutral type coz very easy to pull from 13A socket (At my home switch concealed box at top share line/piping with 13A socket at bottom so no need to spiderman at ceiling roof).

Does the neutral wire need to be in the same phase or even circuit for it to work?

Eg. lights on R1 while the switch I'm taking from is on Y5 for example. or I need to grab from R1 lights from R1 13A switches?

Neutral is common but for 3 phase wiring standardize follow the phase/RCD because sensitive RCD imbalance will trip such as water heater.
