my current 4g13p considered stock with little mods like k&N drop-in, cap ayam 4-2-1 and straight thru muffler
im thinking powerzne 4-2-1 or mild cam or PnP.with budget i have i can only chose 1.if i do PnP,will my cap ayam extractor able to cope?im worried that it'll be a bottleneck for the exhausrt gas thus i wont feel any increase of power.

sifus plase help me.which is the best mod that gives max power for the buck and least fc for the power gained.im more incline towards having more torque than horsepower

Changing the block is quite a messy process, especially when it has to involve the JPJ & so on tongue.gif
Well, you may want to try lightened & dampened pulleys smile.gif
The point of this is t o push your stock engine's efficiency. Lighter moving parts = less consumption.

Cams are going to push you back about RM1.5K. I can offer you a package for RM1.3K, but you really have to stretch your budget a little for this.

BTW, what's your piping size?

actually lightened/dampened pulleys are too overrated where they only give like very minimal power gain.

well... they don't actually add power, they just free up some little power losses

i would say a full, well-tuned exhaust system is the best bet.

my friend got a used set of Pipercross 272' camshafts plus adjustable cam pulleys for just about RM500 ... u might wanna think about that.

very cheap indeed.but sourcing used part im not very good at.for camshaft i think id rather go for anything less than 270 might be more suited to my preference

one question ts...is the K&N drop in filter useful? Really got power or not? Coz someone else said he felt car less power after installing the filter unsure.gif

useful in the sense that u dont have to replace ur filter.u cant feel the power that obvious because it's only a filter.u have to complement it with other mods as well

changing block will be changing the whole bottom part of ur engine... yes, change block means change piston also... if not whats the point??.. tongue.gif
compare to weber, i would recommend u to increase ur engine displacement first... weber carb is jz an auxillary part which boost the engine performance... what a weber carb can do depend on ur engine displacement, which means how much ur engine can suck in at a time... if u have big plans for future, do up ur engine first... have a good base only move on to auxillary parts...

to further convince u more... yes, i'm also a weber carb user... my mech said i cant push my carb further more (in tuning wise) because engine cannot cope with the amount of air/fuel sucking in... i'm using 4g13p.....

I think you should save up and change your whole car. I used to mod a lot like you but end up regretting because it doesn't go as fast as I want in the end anyhow.

good explanation there.but i dont have any more plan in the future.i posted in other forum that this will be my last mod.i dont intend to really push my car la.right now malu la when carrying passenger, the extra load will stress my car and give the impression to them that my car so underpower.for myself also.driving underpowered car is so tiring.1 more effective mod is enough la

Well, the point of the pulleys are to increase power transfer efficiency. Less weight to pull = better power transfer. If the engine is badly tuned, the pulley would not make a significant difference, now would it? The rest is all the placebo-affect taking over tongue.gif

And as for the cams, 272 is just about right for fast road specs. Not too high, not too rough. And RM500 for the cams & pulley is suspiciously cheap... unsure.gif Hell, a good set of adjustable pulleys would cost as much for some cars tongue.gif

i've a dellarto DHLA 40 carb in my sunny besides full exhaust mod.. i'd say that's the max i can do to improve my car's performance.. yes, i can go for port polish/lighten flywheel but the money spent on those mods are not worth it..

there is no replacement for displacement!
