In Malaysia price, Primacy4 nearly double price compare with XM.

I beg to differ, the pricing is not double. For the same size, it’s less than 100 ringgit difference in Malaysia, even primacy vs pilot sport is within similar price gap. The XM2+ certainly can achieve 100k mileage while primacy 4 only can do around ~60k but with better grip and comfort. For outright grip definitely go for Pilot Sport 4 while sacrificing comfort and mileage(~40k).

This is based on my own experience using all the Michelin models mentioned albeit xm2 & xm2+ was on a lighter car. Prior experience with the XM2 and I can say the new XM2+ which adopt more advance silica from primacy did narrowed the previous large gap between Michenlin entry series vs Primacy.

For 13 & 14” tyre XM2+ is a good choice. Not much acceptable ‘in the wet condition’ tyre to choose from anyway... 15” and above plenty of choice yo

Well, I got the Primacy 4 tyres fitted and have travelled 600km on them. I've very disappointed with the noise level, as there's hardly any improvement over the Goodyear Optilife tyres that were fitted to my car previously. Of course, the Primacy 4 provides much better grip than the Goodyear Optilife, but most of my driving is confined to the city, so performance isn't my main priority.

I've since found some more reviews that say the Primacy 4 isn't as quiet as the Primacy 3 ST. Some say that Michelin's primary goal was to improve wet traction and it's not as quiet as the previous generation.

In my experience, the Yokohama ES32 is quieter than the Primacy 4.

I was also shocked to find the Primacy 4 only has 6mm of tread when brand new!

I’m shocked to hear that the primacy 4 is noisy. My experience from PS3 to primacy 3 ST is amazingly muted and of course grip is sacrificed. Then there’s xm2 to xm2+ also well muted and better grip both dry and wet. Do share with us an update after 1000km with your primacy 4 experience, perhaps need some run in.
