Hello there, to me it seems that the panel has been damaged.
Not applicable to repair, I guess the closest solution you can have is to replace the panel which is quite costly and hard to find cry.gif

Hello there! Thanks for your inquiries.
Sorry to inform you that both monitor are not repairable at my end.

Diagnostic as below:
First Lenovo monitor seems like FPC flex bonding issue on panel + polarizer delaminated.
Most likely need to change panel.

Second Samsung monitor is polarizer delaminated. Need to change polarizer which is a risky and expensive job.

You are encourage to look for other technician for second opinion.. thanks

Bro, i got 2 monitors - Dell Ultrasharp 2709wp model. Both have the same problem which the on/off switch or maybe the whole monitor become malfunction. The power-on led is in blue all the time as long as you connect the power cable, but the screen is black, and you cannot turn off the monitor although you push the on/off button. The other buttons is not functioning as well.

This problem will happen if the monitor was in the on mode (doesn't matter the pc is on or off) and suddenly got black out or there was one occasion where my cat accidentally step on the main power switch. The monitors will become malfunction for sometimes. If the monitor in the off mode, the problem won't happen. The thing is, last year it happened twice and after i kept it for 2 -3 months in the box, those monitor can be used again. It seems like there is some reset need to be done to make them work.

Could you fix this? PM me the cost. Thanks.

Hello there,

1. Model: Samsung - model unknown
2. Problem/Faulty: Screen for flickering and would go black. Turning it on and off will fix the problem for a few min, sometimes hours.  You can sometimes here the Bzzzz sound from the monitor.  Currently, completely black, and turning on and off doesn't help anymore.
3. Repair Before: nope
4. Photo of defect: Just a black screen now.

Hi ricardoizecson,

This issue is related to polarizer delamination and not worth to repair with the reason being cost to repair too high and too risky, high chance will break the panel.
My suggestion is to recycle it... sorry cant help cry.gif

Hi there,

Thanks for the detailed information about your monitor.
However lines observed at screen most likely associated to panel failure and unfortunately it wont be economical to repair it will need a new panel..

UGDM/ UGPM means u got direct messege or u got personal messge tongue.gif
